  15. This a cute little FKEY that will rotate through your printer  drivers
  16. for you. Each time you hit it,  it  will  activate  the  next  printer
  17. driver in its list. When it does so, it prints which driver  has  been
  18. activated in the left of the menu bar.

  20. I debated considerably over whether to put the notice in the  left  or
  21. right menu bar. I knew that if I put it in  the  left,  the  menu  bar
  22. would shift disconcertingly for a moment. I knew that if I put  it  in
  23. the right, small screen Macs would probably not see it  if  they  were
  24. running Microsoft Word and had a DA or two open. I chose to  sacrifice
  25. aesthetics instead of functionality.

  27. Please note that this FKEY has no way of knowing what  the  individual
  28. setings in a printer driver are. By this I do not  mean  the  settings
  29. in the 'Page Setup' dialog, I mean the settings you  get  through  the
  30. Chooser. Things like which  port  the  ImageWriter  is  connected  to,
  31. which LaserWriter on the network  the  LaserWriter  driver  talks  to,
  32. etc. You'll have to stick with the Chooser for this  stuff  --  sorry!
  33. However, note also that the settings you select will stay in effect --
  34. if you switch  from  the  ImageWriter  to  the  LaserWriter  and  back
  35. again, the LaserWriter you last printed to will  still  be  selected.

  37. You can install this FKEY as any ID (key) with ResEdit or any  one  of
  38. a number of FKEY movers  and  managers.  Remember  that  if  you  have
  39. QuicKeys, you can assign the FKEY a high ID (key) and then assign  any
  40. key you please to the FKEY using QuicKeys. This allows you to have  as
  41. many   FKEYs   as   you   have   combinations   on   your   keyboard.
